The Quad Squad
The Red Kite
The White Falcon
The Blue Bull
And The Brown Marten
…they are The Quad Squad!
The Quad Squad’s costumes actually symbolize a national flag featuring the colors red, white and blue. Here’s a hint: it’s
not the Stars and Stripes.
But what about the fourth member, dressed in brown?
This was Brown Marten’s punishment for the names given to the two female team members, The White Falcon and The Red Kite.
Not realising the consequences, the two women agreed to Brown Marten’s seemingly generous offer to think up their codenames, after the team’s
overall animal theme was decided.
With a sly smile, Brown Marten thought up the “bird” theme for the girls (“bird” is often considered offensive British slang
for a girl or woman). However, they got payback by allowing Blue Bull to take the final color representing their national flag: this
essentially left Brown Marten color-less and costume-less.
They voted for the additional color: brown. And so he reluctantly took on a color and name that he was less than impressed with, much
to the amusement of his team-mates.
Yet, despite the many wind-ups, the mysterious Quad Squad, under the confident and adept leadership of The Red Kite, remains one of
the most professional, and dangerous, teams on the planet.
What they actually stand for, and whose corner they fight, is still unknown and is another matter entirely…
