Rhino Richards
Rhino Richards. Is he a mute or simply very quiet?
What is clear to those few who actually know him is that he’s never said a word since his traumatic childhood and his experiences with his overbearing,
often violent father.
His father struggled to find work in their dilapidated rural Montana town and seemed to take all his frustration out on his son.
Rhino Richards vowed never to be out of work, and using his environment to his advantage, unlike like his father, is by profession a lumberjack in the
heavily forested area of Montana, USA.
But Rhino Richards is far from being a jolly lumberjack, often earning money “on the side” by hiring out his services to criminal elements.
These services usually consist of using his vast physical strength for nefarious deeds.
Growing up, Richards was exposed to considerable bullying at school due to his red (ginger) hair color. While he could run faster than any other boy,
what he didn’t possess was the acumen to avoid them finding him and dealing out a beating. A sudden and extreme growth spurt soon put a stop to
that. Richards made each bully pay in turn, before becoming the biggest bully of them all.
Only one boy in the school would be spared his wrath: a small, scrawny boy known as Bill whom Richards took pity on. Bill would later become known as
Snakebite Bill and Richard’s partner-in-crime.
Whereas Rhino Richards provides the brawn, Snakebite Bill provides the brain, albeit a crafty, devious one.
Despite the dark world that they inhabit, the bond of friendship between these two is impressive and, like Rhino Richards himself, seems invulnerable.
